R.K. Vidyadaran, who earlier directed the Satath Kumar-Meghna Naidu starrer 'Vaitheesvaran',
is directing his second Tamil film 'Rasikkum Seemanae' besides writing the
story, screenplay and dialogues too. Vidyadaran was also the dialogue writer of
'Jeyam' Ravi-Trisha starrer 'Something Something Unakkum Enakkum'. He had also
directed Upendra in the Kannada film 'News'.
Navya Nair, known more for her homely-type of roles, is playing a glamourous
role for the first time and by what the Unit sources are saying, she has given a
run for their money to all the Trishas, Nayantaras and Shriyas in this film.
Srikanth's character is that of a protagonist who adopts his own ways and means
to bring to an end all those who exploit the society in every possible way.
Srikanth, who has been struggling to deliver a hit film after his marriage, pins
a lot of his hopes in this film. The director is of the opinion that the story,
which floored Srikanth, would go down well with the audience too.
For the first time in his career, Srikanth plays a role that has a negatives
side to it. His character in the film, Nandu, takes advantage of others'
weaknesses and blackmails them. Nandu comes across a beautiful Gayatri (Navya
Nair) and plots to win over her love too by way of blackmail. Whether or not he
succeeded in his love affair is what the story is all about. |
