Jagannath is not new to Tamil film industry. He has already given two movies Puthiya Geethai with Vijay and Kodambakkam with Nandha. Speaking about the cast of his new film, Jaganath says that all the characters in the film will make audiences feel that they are all one among them.

There are 5 heroines going to share the screen with Cheran. Ramya Nambeesan, one of the growing actresses in Malayalam makes her debut in this film. The other four heroines are, Vimala Raman, Gajala, Navya Nair and Karthika.

The story of Raman Thediya Seethai centers on a bright young man, who despite being a successful man in his career is not able to get a bride of perfect match for himself. He goes through several rejections from girls whom he encounters for an arranged marriage. The reason why they aren't willing to accept is for the fact that he confesses honestly of a truth in hidden life. Like Raman in the epic of Ramayan of Hindu Mythology, he too goes in search of Seethai for himself. Finally, he happens to find the right match with the help of a Radio Jockey.
