Back after a long gap is director R K Selvamani. Considered a safe bet in
Kollywood for racy commercial entertainers few years ago, Selvamani now joins
hands with Prashanth after the Chembaruthi success. It may be recalled that the
movie is a sequel to Selvamani's blockbuster Pulan Viasaranai which featured
Vijayakanth in the lead role. Since 'Captain' is busy with his political
commitments, Prashanth has taken up the mantle.
'I was on the prowl of finding the right script and once I had it I did not
delay any further. The action starts in Delhi and ending there.' Prashanth is
happy to be associated with Selvamani. 'We share a mutual affection. He knows
what to expect from me and am aware of his requirement.' Selvamani has
introduced three heroines Karthika, Ashwini and Adeem Khan. Also making a
comeback after a long gap is producer A S Ibrahim Rowther. He produced Pulan
Visarani and now its sequel.
The movie is about a honest assistant commissioner of police played by Prashanth
who is on the prowl of dreaded gangsters. It has enough twists and turns, says
Selvamani. Prashanth is happy to don the khaki. 'I have undergone rigorous
physical exercises to suit he role. It was indeed a pleasant experience shooting
for this action-packed entertainer'. Selvamani is hopeful of recreating the
magic as he did when he churned out Pulan Visaranai. |
