When news about cinematographer-director Jeeva’s death while shooting for ‘Dhaam
Dhoom’ in Russia reached Kollywood, it took the industry by shock. Now, the
project he had passionately begun has almost neared completion and will be
released in May.
Producers Murali Manohar and Sunada said the film was almost over and only one
song was to be shot. “This is ace director Jeeva’s first ever action film made
in his own style, with sophistication. He has shown Russia in all its splendour
and beauty. We shot nearly 40 days in and around Russia and each location was
totally fascinating.”
The story is about a young doctor who falls in love with a village girl, played
by Kangana Ranaut. After getting engaged, they go to Russia for a medical
conference. There, the doctor gets trapped. How the two of them escape forms the
rest of the plot.
Executive producer Jayakumar said cameraman Rajasekar, who has worked with Jeeva,
and second unit director G.K. Manikandan, who worked with Jeeva from his very
beginning, has finished the project as was visualised by the cameraman-director. |
